Troy Murray

Head Coach

Coach Troy Murray will be starting his first year as head coach with
the Racers this year.  Troy is a Lake Park graduate, where he was a
four-year varsity swimmer. As a youth, he competed in the DuPage Swim and Dive Conference and was a 12-year member of the Bloomingdale Barracudas. This past high school season, he coached Lake Park’s Junior Varsity boys team. Troy is a 2008 graduate of the University of Illinois, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in English. Currently, he is earning a Master’s in Teaching and will become a full-time English teacher in the fall of 2010. Although he grew up swimming for Bloomingdale, he is very excited about starting his first season as head coach of the Roselle Racers. We welcome Troy to the Roselle Racers coaching staff.

Kristi Mazzuca

Assistant Coach

 

Coach Kristina Mazzuca will be returning for her fifth season as assistant coach with the Roselle Racers.  Kristi graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in English and is currently working in the English Department at James B. Conant High School.  Kristi was a swimmer on the Lake Park High School varsity swim team for four years. In addition to being a Roselle Park District manager for Kemmerling Pool, Coach Kristi has years of experience as a swim lesson instructor for all levels. She particularly enjoys working with the younger swimmers on Roselle’s team.  We welcome Kristi back as an integral member of the coaching staff.

Mark Golden

Assistant Coach

This will be Mark Golden’s first season working as a coach for the Roselle Racers.  As a youth, Coach Mark competed in the DuPage Swim and Dive Conference as a member of the Itasca Dolphins Swim Team for 13 seasons.  He also swam on Lake Park’s Varsity Team for four years. He will be entering his senior year at Ball State University where he will graduate in December 2011 with a degree in education.  He has competed on the Ball State University Varsity Swim Team for three years and will be its captain for the upcoming 2010-2011 season.  In previous summers, Mark spent numerous hours as a swimming instructor for Itasca’s Junior Dolphins program. We are very fortunate to have Mark joining the Racer coaching staff and welcome him to the Team.

Bridget McElroy

Assistant Coach

 This will be Bridget McElroy’s first season working as a coach for the Roselle Racers.  Coach Bridget was a member of the Roselle Racers for 7 years, and she is excited to once again be part of the Team. Bridget graduated from St. Viator High School in 2007 and worked as a lifeguard at Medinah Country Club for five years. In addition to life guarding, she also coached the Medinah C.C. swim team and worked as a swimming instructor. Bridget will be starting her senior year at Marquette University in the fall with a major in elementary education and math. We are happy to welcome Bridget back to the Team as a member of the coaching staff.
